Berry Tractor & Equipment Co. is the former Sam H. Denney Road Machinery Co. (1928-1957), which was a distributor for International Harvester. After Denney's death in 1956, Fred Berry, Jr. and his brother, Paul, purchased the business from the Denney estate, renaming it for the former farm equipment distribution company founded in St. Louis, MO by Fred Berry, Sr. in 1928; the company was sold when he retired in 1957. Today, Berry Tractor is a division of Berry Companies, Inc., under the leadership of the President of Berry Tractor, Dan Scheer, President of Berry Companies, Walter Berry, and Chairman, Fred Berry. The company is headquartered in Wichita, KS with local dealer locations in Garden City, KS, Topeka, KS, and Springfield, MO. Berry Tractor is consistently a major player in the Midwestern construction equipment industry and is a new and used dealer of dozers, asphalt paving equipment, excavators, wheel loaders, motor graders, pavers, compactors, trailers, vibrating screens, crushers, end dump trailers, truck trailers, sweepers, and much more for sale and rent, along with in-house repair services at our local Kansas and Missouri locations!
